Gully Boy-Indian Hindi-language musical drama film - Zoya Akhtar

Gully Boy is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language musical drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar, and written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar under the banners of Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions, with Nas as an executive producer. It stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and features Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz in supporting roles. Inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy, the film is a coming-of-age story about an aspiring street rapper from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai.

Principal photography for Gully Boy commenced in January 2018 and wrapped up in April 2018. It was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on 9 February 2019 and released in 15 February 2019 to positive reviews from critics. With an global gross of over ₹238 crore ($37 million), it is the sixth highest-grossing bollywood film of 2019 and the year's second highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas. It was selected as the Indian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards

Murad Ahmed (Ranveer Singh), a final year college student, lives in the Dharavi slums of Mumbai. His abusive father Aftab Shakir Ahmed (Vijay Raaz) brings home a much younger second wife, much to the chagrin of the family. Murad nurtures a fascination for rap music. His longtime and possessive girlfriend Safeena Firdausi (Alia Bhatt) is training to be a surgeon and routinely meets him in secret. Forced to work part-time as a chauffeur after his father is injured, Murad starts to write, with his lyrics informed by the inequalities he observes while on the job. Making the acquaintance of local rapper Shrikant "MC Sher" Bhosle (Siddhant Chaturvedi) whom he saw performing in his college fest, he is drawn into performing his lyrics at underground shows and rap battles and eventually uploading a video on YouTube.

Berklee College student Shweta "Sky" Mehta (Kalki Koechlin), an evolving musician, reaches out to Murad and Sher after seeing the video, offering to collaborate on a new song. The accompanying video, which is shot in Dharavi, rapidly becomes popular. Murad shares an intimate moment with Sky, later lying to Safeena about it. When Safeena finds out, she reacts violently towards Sky by smashing a bottle of beer on her head. As a result, she is brought in by the police but is not arrested as Sky doesn't press charges against her. Murad eventually breaks up with Safeena due to her possessive attitude. As Aftab's violence towards him, his brother and his mother escalates, Murad decides to leave home with his mother and brother and work full-time for his uncle Ateeq Khan (Vijay Maurya).

Later, when Sky expresses her romantic feelings for him, he declines her as he still loves Safeena and decides to reconcile with her. Murad and Sher enter a contest to open for Nas at his Mumbai concert, and Murad advances to the finals after a successful rap battle. Murad's confidence grows from interacting with rap fans' appreciation of his performances, and he finally stands up to Aftab and Ateeq when they belittle his passion. He later gets back together with Safeena. He goes on to win the contest and becomes one of India's top rappers. The film ends with his friends, family and Safeena watching him happily as he begins his opening performance.

Phillip James Edwin Peebles -Nobel Prize in Physics in 2019

Phillip James Edwin Peebles OM FRS (born April 25, 1935) is a Canadian-American astrophysicist, astronomer, and theoretical cosmologist who is currently the Albert Einstein Professor Emeritus of Science at Princeton University. He is widely regarded as one of the world's leading theoretical cosmologists in the period since 1970, with major theoretical contributions to primordial nucleosynthesis, dark matter, the cosmic microwave background, and structure formation.

Peebles was awarded half of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2019 for his theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology.He shared the prize with Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz for their discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a sun-like star.

Most of Peebles' work since 1964 has been in the field of physical cosmology to determine the origins of the universe. In 1964, there was very little interest in this field and it was considered a "dead end" but Peebles remained committed to studying it. Peebles has made many important contributions to the Big Bang model. With Dicke and others (nearly two decades after George Gamow, Ralph A. Alpher and Robert C. Herman), Peebles predicted the cosmic microwave background radiation. Along with making major contributions to Big Bang nucleosynthesis, dark matter, and dark energy, he was the leading pioneer in the theory of cosmic structure formation in the 1970s. Long before it was considered a serious, quantitative branch of physics, Peebles was studying physical cosmology and has done much to establish its respectability. Peebles said, "It was not a single step, some critical discovery that suddenly made cosmology relevant but the field gradually emerged through a number of experimental observations. Clearly one of the most important during my career was the detection of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation that immediately attracted attention  both experimentalists interested in measuring the properties of this radiation and theorists, who joined in analyzing the implications". His Shaw Prize citation states "He laid the foundations for almost all modern investigations in cosmology, both theoretical and observational, transforming a highly speculative field into a precision science."

Peebles has a long record of innovating the basic ideas, which would be extensively studied later by other scientists. For instance, in 1987, he proposed the primordial isocurvature baryon model for the development of the early universe.Similarly, Peebles contributed to establishing the dark matter problem in the early 1970s. Peebles is also known for the Ostriker–Peebles criterion, relating to the stability of galactic formation.

Peebles' body of work was recognized with him being named a 2019 Nobel Laureate in Physics, "for theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology"; Peebles shared half the prize with Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz who had been the first to discover an exoplanet around a main sequence star.

Zaira Wasim new films in 2019

Zaira Wasim is an Indian actress of Kashmiri family who works in Hindi films. The recipient of numerous accolades, including a Filmfare Award and a National Film Award, Wasim was honoured with National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement by Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, at a ceremony in New Delhi in 2017.

Wasim made her film debut with the role of wrestler Geeta Phogat in the biographical sports film Dangal (2016), which won her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film and the first Indian film to gross over ₹2000 crore worldwide. She rose to fame by starring as a aspiring singer in the musical drama Secret Superstar (2017), for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
Wasim made her film debut with Nitesh Tiwari's sports biopic Dangal (2016). It tella the story of Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan), a pehlwani amateur wrestler, who trains his daughters Geeta Phogat (played by Wasim) and Babita Kumari (played by Suhani Bhatnagar) to become India's top female wrestlers. With grossings of ₹2125.3 crore (US$330 million) in box office against a budget of ₹70 crore (US$9.7 million), Dangal emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2016, the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. The film was also the first Indian film to gross over ₹2000 crore. For her performance, Wasim won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and garnered a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Wasim collaborted with Aamir Khan for the second time (alongside Meher Vij) in Advait Chandan's directorial debut, the musical drama Secret Superstar (2017), which centers on her character Insia Malik, a 15 year-old girl who aspires to become a singer. The film grossed ₹977 crore (US$154 million) against a budget of ₹15 crore, and proved to be one of Hindi cinema's top-grossing female-led films. Secret Superstar also emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2017 like Dangal. Wasim's performance was critically praised, for which won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress and also received a Best Actress nomination at the ceremony. She was also honoured with the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement by Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, at New Delhi, in 2017.

As of March 2019, Wasim has completed filming for her next project, the biographical film The Sky Is Pink, which revolves the story of a motivational speaker named Aisha Chaudhary (played by her) who died at the age of 18 due to pulmonary fibrosis. Co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar, the film is directed by Shonali Bose and is set to release on 11 October 2019.

Every Day-American romantic fantasy drama film

Every Day is a 2018 American romantic fantasy drama film directed by Michael Sucsy and written by Jesse Andrews, based on the 2012 novel of the same name by David Levithan. The film stars Angourie Rice as 16-year-old Rhiannon, who falls in love with a traveling soul who wakes each morning in a different body; Justice Smith, Debby Ryan and Maria Bello also star.

 The film was released on February 23, 2018.
"A" is a traveling spirit who wakes up in the body of a different male or female teenager, every day. One day, "A" wakes up in the body of Justin, the neglectful boyfriend of Rhiannon. At school, Rhiannon approaches "A" (as Justin), and she convinces "A" to skip school with her. As the day goes on, "A" falls in love with Rhiannon, as she confides to Justin her troubled home life, following her father's mental breakdown that almost resulted in her family losing their home. Rhiannon, in return, feels a rekindled love for Justin, seeing as he has seemingly changed into a more thoughtful and caring person than he was before. The next day, Rhiannon finds that Justin has reverted to his old, careless self, and does not remember the day before. Meanwhile, waking up in the body of Amy, "A" masquerades as an exchange student in order to be close with Rhiannon.

Waking up in another body the next day, "A" (as Nathan) attends a party that Rhiannon also attends. Connecting with her through dance, "A" and Rhiannon bond with "A" telling Rhiannon that she deserves better than Justin, before "A" is chased off by Justin. A few days later, "A" texts Rhiannon, asking that she meet "A" alone, and she does, under the assumption that she is meeting Nathan. However, "A" shows up as Megan, disclosing to Rhiannon that "A" was Justin and Amy and Nathan and that "A" is falling in love with her. Although disdainful at first, Rhiannon agrees to meet with "A" the next day, with "A" now in the body of James. "A" tells Rhiannon that "A" has been shifting bodies every day since "A" was a baby. "A" discloses that "A" keeps a private Instagram account with pictures taken every day in every body "A" is in, and that Rhiannon can communicate with "A" through that account. Meeting with Nathan, who believes he was possessed by the devil, Rhiannon realizes that "A" is real. The next day, "A", in the body of transgender Vic, convinces Rhiannon to give "A" a chance, despite the fact that "A" shifts forms every day, explaining to her that it is the soul that counts, not the body. After giving it some thought, Rhiannon agrees to continue meeting "A".

One day, "A" is surprised to awaken in the body of Rhiannon herself and sees it as an opportunity to get to know Rhiannon better. "A" promises to be respectful of Rhiannon's privacy and her life, not taking the opportunity to break up with Justin or look at Rhiannon's naked body. Over the course of the day, "A" bonds with Rhiannon's mother as well as her sister and father. The next day, Rhiannon breaks up with Justin, having finally found the courage to do so. She immediately calls "A" for a weekend getaway trip at her uncle's cabin. "A", in the body of handsome Xavier, talks about the day "A" was in Rhiannon's body. Rhiannon tells "A" that leaving a mark can be a wonderful thing so that people will know "A" exists, but "A" feels that it is his obligation to leave one's memory unchanged. At the end of the day, "A" kisses Rhiannon goodbye and promises to come back the next day, but he does not, forcing Rhiannon to call her mother to pick her up. Later, "A" explains that the body "A" was in was under lung transplant. Rhiannon and "A" gradually become intimate and promise each other that they will figure out how to maintain their relationship

Waking up in the body of the suicidal Kelsea, Rhiannon convinces "A" to attempt to hold onto Kelsea's body for more than twenty-four hours, in order to keep Kelsea alive until Kelsea's father returns from a job, so he can be alerted to Kelsea's struggles. When "A" is successful, Rhiannon soon convinces him to stay in the body of her classmate, Alexander, so they can be together whenever. For a short time this seems to work, but soon "A" realizes that he cannot just take somebody else's life away from him/her. Inviting Rhiannon over to Alexander's house, "A" tells Rhiannon that they cannot realistically be together forever, and that Alexander himself is perfect for Rhiannon. Sharing one last night together, Rhiannon and "A" kiss goodbye and lie down to wait for "A" to fall asleep. The next day, "A" awakens in another body and drives away to New York, while Rhiannon meets with Alexander at school and they walk away together.

Forever My Girl -American romantic drama film

Forever My Girl is a 2018 American romantic drama film written and directed by Bethany Ashton Wolf based on the novel by Heidi McLaughlin. It follows a country musician (Alex Roe) who sets out to win over the girl he left at the altar eight years before (Jessica Rothe). Abby Ryder Fortson, Travis Tritt, and John Benjamin Hickey also star.

The film was released in the United States on January 19, 2018. It received negative reviews from critics, who denounced the writing and chemistry between the actors, and compared it negatively to Nicholas Sparks films. However, audience reception was more positive, and the film was a modest box office success grossing $16 million on a $3.5 million budget.
In Saint Augustine, Louisiana, Josie is left at the altar by her fiancé Liam. Eight years later, Liam is a successful country singer. The day after a concert in New Orleans, Liam, after a one night stand wakes up to discover the girl he slept with jumping excitedly, unaware she is on his beat up cell phone. Panicked, Liam takes the phone to a store where the manager, fixes the phone for Liam. Afterwards, his manager questions why he still has the phone, Liam revealing it has a very important message on it. While watching TV, Liam learns that Mason, one of his groomsmen from the wedding and his best friend from childhood, has been killed in a car accident. Liam returns to St. Augustine and attends Mason's funeral. Although Liam attempts to be discreet, Josie recognizes him. After Mason's burial, Josie approaches Liam and punches him in the stomach.

Liam stays with his father, Pastor Brian, although his father is bitter that Liam never kept in contact after becoming famous. While becoming reacquainted with the town, Liam encounters Josie at a flower shop she owns. Liam learns that Josie has a seven-year old daughter, Billy, and that he is the father. Josie confesses that she found out she was pregnant two weeks after he left her at the altar. Although Josie tried to contact him, Liam never returned her call, and Josie decided that if Liam didn't care enough to call her back to find out what was so important, then she wasn't going to contact him again because her and Billie deserve better. Liam eventually persuades Josie to let him spend time with Billy, albeit on Josie's terms. Billy quickly realizes Liam is her father, much to Josie's surprise, and supports Liam's idea.

Liam and Billy bond, with Billy displaying her father's musical ability. Josie even agrees to let Billy stay the night with Liam. As Liam tucks her in, Billy asks him why he left Josie, and Liam admits he was young and confused, although he regrets his decision, Josie and Brian overhear the conversation. After Billy falls asleep, Josie asks Liam on a date. Liam flies Josie to New Orleans for their date, although they are stopped by the press. Liam publicly announces his love for Josie, calling her "The One".

After returning to Saint Augustine, Liam and Billy continue to bond. Billy chokes on her lunch, but Liam is frozen after having a flashback to his mother’s death. Jake, Josie’s brother, saves Billy. Distraught at his inability to act, Liam gets drunk at a bar. Jake visits Liam and tells him that Josie and Billy would be better off without him. Liam leaves the next morning without telling Josie or Billy, leaving a note for his Dad telling him that Billy and Josie are better of without him.

Liam returns to his tour and performs in London. However, his manager Sam inspires him to return to his family. At the airport, Liam responds to the message on the answering machine that Josie left for him 8 years earlier, explaining that losing his mother caused him to fear losing her, causing him to flee. Liam returns to Saint Augustine and meets with Josie. Liam and Josie get married and Liam plays a song on stage with Billy, first at the child's school talent show, and then during his musical tour in Berlin.
